People should not

On their lives
There's no excuse
So this I say

A broken dream
A wasted smile
A lost belief
Time destroyed
Money lost
Feelings shared
And then tossed
We live our lives
With fear and doubt
Afraid to try
Afraid to shout
Nothing is real
It's all a lie
A front put up
To block our eyes
We drift through life
With no resolve
Our lives begin
To just dissolve
Will we live on?
After we're gone?
Will people know?
What we have done?
We try to show
Out deepest side
Our true desire

For all our work

Ode to the Altima
For years it ran
Without any jams
Then all the sudden
I knew it was slammed
It came without warning
Like a thief in the night
White smoke emerged
Then coolant took flight
Head gasket blown
Oh the pain
The car still drove
But wouldn't be the same
You were a good car
And faithful friend
You set the bar
But it had to bend
You saw a millennium
And witnessed a war
But never again
For fate's at the door
Your destiny's set
There's no going back
This is the end
And that's a fact
You died far too young
At an age of just eight
But you had a good life
So I guess this is fate
It was coming for years
Or so I was told
But you were a fighter
And always quite bold
So this one's for you
As I raise up a glass
A toast to your life
