Alright, so as of today, very strict rules and protections for hotlinking are going into effect. You know who you are, and if you don't, you will soon enough. I don't care if you use things from this site, if I didn't want you to, it wouldn't be here, but if you are going to at least copy it to your own site. Linking images or CSS files directly off this site (or ANY of my sites) is strictly forbidden!

Alright, I have FINALLY decided to tear into the guesbook and recode/fix a good portion of it. No, I haven't forgotten, it was just in serious need of repair and I was a bit to lazy to do so. In the VERY near future, I will have it back online once again, so check back often for updates!!!

Not to much to post here, the only thing that I really wanted to mention is that I have a new site for all my pictures. The new site is pictures.danodemano.com and is where I will be posting all my pictures from now on out. I should probably note, that it can be a little slow for some reason. I'm still trying to figure out why.

So I have truly learned the power of StumbleUpon. My journal was stumbled just a little over an hour ago, and since that happened, I have had 154 hits on that page. And they are increasing at a tremendous rate!

Alright, so having FINALLY gotten pissed of with "malicious" spiders for the last time, I have pieced together a nifty little PHP script to auto-ban any spider that doesn't follow the rules set forth in the robots.txt file.
So I suppose that by this point, you are probably asking "ok, so what does this have to do with me?" and the answer is, very little. The only thing that I warn of, is that if you just happen to get into the source, and notice a commented out link to a file called getout.php, you should avoid following it as doing so will result in a permanent ban from this site. Then you will have to send me an embarrassing note asking to be un-banned after you got curious and opened the file. So please, just don't follow the link, alright?

BIG CHANGES!! Alright, well you can't seen them, but I have COMPLETLY overhauled the code behind this site, and made use of the fact that PHP is dynamic. The size of all the pages has been shrunken considerably, as the common parts have all be consolidated into a single script.
I have also decided to switch over to a standard set of links. Unlike the previous pages, every main page on this site now has the same link set. This make it MUCH easier to change this list should the need arise.
Along with this, I have done some cleanup on the site, removing unneeded code and files, as well as updating the meta tags.
Finally, this was all done with the ultimate goal of actually changing the design of this site. And while I don't know what I'm going to do just yet, this was the first step in getting it done.

On an unrelated note, instead of continuing to post pictures here on this site, most of my pictures will be posted out to my Google album. That is at least until the site is overhauled and I add in a nice photo album :)

I got a few new things here, none of which are of great importance though. Number one, I have moved (yet again) to a new server! Nobody probably even noticed the change, but along with it, I also got the domain name danodemano.net so that was cool!
Second, I have posted another random bit of code out here for all to enjoy! It's a random password generator that lets you pick the complexity, length, number of passwords, etc! Check it out here and see what you think!
Third, I have (once again) fixed the guestbook. I didn't know it was broken until this evening so I quickly fixed the posting and brought it back online, so leave me something!

Big news!!! I have re-worked all the code on this site and made everything validate! You will see the small image under the navigation on the left-hand side, this will take you to the validation results for whatever page you are on. I've spent a LOT of work and time on trying to get everything to be proper!

Please also note, that all the old news items have been moved here to reduce the size of this page!

I have, once again, overhauled the guestbook, this time to make it a bit more, user-friendly. Now, if you enter an incorrect validation string, all the data from your post remains in tact instead of vanishing into nowhere land. Should make things a bit easier and MUCH less frustrating. As always, please let me know if you have any problems!!

As many of you have noticed, the site has taken a major overhaul! All the color schemes have been changed, tweaked, or otherwise adjusted. I removed all the pictures from the header and from the right-hand side of the page. I has also been working to clean up the HTML as it's a disaster, to say the least. I cannot take credit for the new color choices, I'm not that creative, Laura came up with the new color scheme. I love you so much hun!!!

After much troubleshooting, testing, coding, and swearing, I have finally managed to get things straightened out with the guestbook!!! Posting has once again been permitted to the Guestbook. I believe that all the SPAM problems have been eliminated, for good, and shouldn't return. If you have any problems, please let me know!!

I have also, once again, updated the About Me page. I have gone a bit more in depth about myself, my interests, etc. So go and check it out!!!

And finally, I have updated, tweak, fixed, and changed a good number of other pages on this site. Today is the first day in a while that I've actually felt like working on the site.
